His hope at least partially renewed, he had to make a decision — End it all or keep going. There was no in-between now. He couldn’t let his grief take him over and derail what he had built. The work had to be done; if not for himself, but in her honor.
“The world is pure chaos, isn’t it?” he thought. “The moment you think you have it figured out, it cuts your legs out from under you.”
He knew now that the world was against him, but if stayed true to himself, to those close to him, to her memory, then he could make it through somehow. It wouldn’t be perfect, but he’d make due with whatever he had. And to be honest, he had a lot to work with.
People were going to say what they want and try to drag you down. Fate was outside of the realm of his control. He could, however, control his own thoughts, emotions, and actions. He could control how he stepped into the world.
No more fear.
No more pain.
Only love will stand against the chaos.
